Utility Rebates

Quality Insulation is a registered contractor for both Xcel Energy and Centerpoint Energy air sealing and insulation rebate programs.  A utility rebate is available to you if Xcel or Centerpoint provide your primary heat source.  Here are the details regarding the utility rebates:

Xcel Energy:

Available rebates for insulation are equal to 20% of the total cost of the project, including installation, up to $300 for qualified projects.  Certain pre-existing insulation levels and installation requirements apply.  Additional information: Xcel Rebate Program.

Centerpoint:

Available rebate amount will equal 50% of qualifying material and labor costs for air sealing up to a maximum rebate of $200, and 50% of qualifying material and labor costs for attic and/or wall insulation up to a maximum of $150. The total rebate will not exceed $350.  A qualifying home energy audit is required prior to the installation of insulation.  Certain pre-existing insulation levels and installation requirements apply.  Additional information: Centerpoint Rebate Program.

Federal Energy Tax Credit

As part of the Federal Energy Tax Credit, owners of existing homes may receive a tax credit worth 10% of the insulation material cost in upgrading their homes. Installation (labor) costs are not included and the credit is capped at $500 for all improvements in any previous years.
